Agent Platform Overview

The benefitbay® agency/agent platform is a management tool that allows agents to monitor, analyze, and track their employer groups in one place. This article will give you a high level overview of the agency/agent platform.

Left Navigation Bar

The navigation bar on the left has several tabs that display different information about your agents and account managers, your agency profile, and your employer groups. These tabs allow easy navigation to the data related to your business.

If you wish to collapse the left navigation bar, click the three lines next to the 'benefitbay' logo and it will shrink the menu to only show the icons. 


Agency Profile 

The 'Agency Profile' tab allows you to view and update information about your agency. You will add agency contacts, provide your errors and omissions information, and add all licensing information that is applicable to your agency. You can edit information by clicking the 'Edit' boxes in the right corner of the category that you wish to edit. You can add information by clicking the blue buttons that say 'Add agency contact' or 'Add new license'.

Any time you see three dots, you will be presented with a menu of options that will enable you to complete a task. 


Agency Home

 

The 'Agency Home' tab allows you to view your agency's entire book of business. You can also add agents and account managers. To add an account manager you must select the 'Add Account Manager' button. If you wish to add an agent you must select the blue 'Add Agent' button. Please note that agents and account managers have different visibility into the platform, so be aware of that when adding new profiles to the agency. 


Reports

Once you begin gaining revenue from your active employer groups, a remittance report will generate here, showing the fees earned each month from your ICHRA book of business.


Agent Profile 

The 'Agent Profile' tab is where you can update your personal contact information and add your own license information. Click on the 'Edit' box in the right hand corner of the category that you wish to make changes to. You can add new license information by clicking the blue 'Add new license' button at the bottom right of the screen.


Employers

The 'Employers' tab is where you will add and view your employer groups. You can search for specific groups by using the search bar in the center of the screen. You can add new employers by clicking the blue 'Add Employer' button in the right hand corner of the screen.

You can filter your employer groups by life cycle to more easily view which companies are leads, prospects, clients, or inactive.


Enrollment Periods

The 'Enrollment Periods' tab enables you to monitor open and upcoming enrollments for your employer groups. This visibility will enable you to more easily service your clients and ensure their enrollment experience is a smooth as possible.
