Quickly download a copy of the census data inside benefitbay®
Great news! We've made it easier to make updates to the census data you've already loaded into benefitbay. You can get prepared for Open Enrollment by making several changes to the census at one time.
Downloading the company census:

Navigate to the "Employee Management" tab
- Click the 3 dots in the top right-hand corner, select "Download census"
- This will download the census in CSV form, populated with all of the current active employee data
How to update the company's census:
- If you notice employees who have left the company but are still showing on the census, delete their information from the census and process their termination in benefitbay (click here for instructions on how to process a termination).
- Add any new employee's information to the bottom of the census. DO NOT ADD A BENEFITBAY ID#, as one will be assigned once the employee's information is added to the benefitbay platform.
- Update all current employee's information, especially salaries and personal addresses. This will ensure an accurate ICHRA affordability analysis can be completed.
- Upon completion of the updates, upload the census to your 2025 Coverage Period in the benefitbay platform or provide it to your agent for review and assistance (click here for instructions).
