How to Move an Employer from Prospect to Client

Your client has agreed to a model, you've locked it, and now it's time to move them to client status!

You did it! All your hard work got the sale! Now it is time to take the employer into the client status. Follow the steps below to move your client forward. 


Update Client Status

Click on the blue "Update status" button under the "Update Employer Status," on the "Your Next Steps," checklist. 

You will be navigated to the "Business configuration" page. 

Data information needed:

  • Status
    • Lead- at this stage, let's not move backward
    • Prospect- at this stage, we are moving forward
    • CLIENT- yes, this is right
  • Primary agent
    • If you are going to continue to be the primary agent contact for this group, you can leave yourself. If you have another agent who will be working with the client, select their name from the drop-down list. 
  • Assigned agents/Account manager
    • Place a checkbox next to any other colleagues in your agency with whom you would like to have access to the client. 
  • Co-Brand text
    • Leave this blank or add text for the client to see instead of the agent's name. 

Upon completion, click the blue "Save changes" button at the bottom of the page. 

Once you have updated the employer status and changed it from prospect to client, you are now ready to add the primary contact information and add the remaining data points to the employer profile.
