What do "Easy Enroll" and "Extra Steps" mean?
When you're shopping for a health plan, you may notice one of two labels on certain plan cards: Easy Enroll or Extra Steps. These tell you what to expect after you submit your application.
Easy Enroll

Plans marked Easy Enroll are the simplest option. Once you submit your application through Benefitbay, your enrollment is complete. There's no additional action required on your part.
What to expect:
- Submit your application and you're done
- Your coverage will be processed automatically
- You'll receive confirmation of your enrollment by email
Extra Steps

Plans marked Extra Steps require you to take additional action after submitting your application before your coverage can be confirmed. This is a requirement from the insurance carrier and not something Benefitbay controls.
What "extra steps" might include:
- Mailing in a signed paper application or supporting documents
- Scheduling a follow-up call with the carrier and a Benefitbay enrollment specialist
- Providing additional information directly to the carrier
What to expect:
- After submitting your application in BenefitBay, you'll receive instructions on what to do next
- Your coverage is not confirmed until all required steps are completed
- Allow extra time for these plans, especially if you have a coverage start date deadline
