If you elected coverage in 2026, and want to continue utilizing the ICHRA benefit from your company, you will need to take action in benefitbay during your company's annual Open Enrollment.
This is true even if you want to keep the the same plan from the same carrier.
There are no passive renewals of ICHRA plans. You must elect coverage in benefitbay in order to take part in the ICHRA benefit in 2027.
Follow the steps below to renew your coverage for 2027. Click the links for informational article and quick training videos.
- Sign a new ICHRA agreement for 2027, and confirm participants
- Enter the shopping experience, and use tools to filter or compare and save plans.
When you shop, you have the option to change plans and/or carriers.
Renewal Plans
If your current plan is still offered by your carrier for the upcoming year, it will be labeled in the platform with a green "Renewal" label at the top left of the plan card, next to the plan type.
Please review the plan details, and pay attention to any change in cost or plan coverage.
Note: If you do not see a plan with the Renewal label, it means that your carrier is no longer offering the same plan.
Click the "Benchmark" toggle right above the plan cards to view only the renewal plan.
Benchmark plans
If your employer has designated benchmark plans (these are plans that have been recommended by your employer), the benchmark plans will be displayed with a blue "Benchmark" label.
Note: If you do not see a plan with the Benchmark label, it means that your employer did not designate a recommended plan.
